1988-89: CHRISTINE SIXTEEN. Began my singing career in a local rock band based in West
Oxfordshire. Covered the standard 70’s and 80’s rock, such as Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy etc
1989-1993: SOUTHBOUND. This was a rock/blues band incorporating standard rock covers
to writing our own songs. Played all the local colleges and universities as well as pubs and
Clubs. Discovered I was able to push my voice to Bob Seger and Free, getting the highs and
lows each time.
1995-1998 MYKE FOARD & THE COPYCATZ. Authentic 50’s Rock & Roll combo using the
original AC30 Copy Cat Reverb. It was here I began to notice a flair for rock & roll. Obvious
covers of Eddie Cochrane and Buddy Holly, and finally, the odd Elvis number.
!997-1998: BLIND SUMMIT Followed the country and blues side of my voice for this period.
We drew on all previous experiences to produce a vibrabt function band, covering Elvis to Bob
Segar, to Credence Clearwater and REM.
September 6th 1998: MARIE CURRIE TRUST ALL AMERICA DAY. I entered my first
competition for the “Best singer of an Elvis song”. I performed Wear My Ring (Around Your
Neck) and was ecstatic to have come first, winning an all expenses paid trip to Graceland. Man
It was then I knew what direction I wanted to take.
1998-2005: ARRABANNED. Classic function nabd covering the usual suspects from the 60’s
and 70’s. However, now they were doing some Elvis tunes and I was learning that I could sing
In 3 octaves.
2005: ELVIS SUPA NOVA COMPETITION. Entered this competition in London and entered
The Guinness Book Of World Records (along with 74 others), followed by an appearance on
Blue Peter performing Viva Las Vegas.
2005-To Date: RIFF RAFF/ SUSPICIOUS MINDS. Well, here we are at the present day. Still
doing the classic rock stuff, Deep Purple, Prince etc, with Roy Orbison and Ellvis, and Tom
Jones thrown in for good measure. Main difference is I now use a band (Suspicious Minds) to
perform our tribute to Elvis Presley with the main element of the show being Elvis In Concert.
